Qatar Biobank – part of Qatar foundation-RDI – is hosting Qatar’s 2nd international biobanking conference, as a virtual conference this year in partnership with the European and Middle Eastern Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking (ESBB), and supported by BBMRI-ERIC, a European research infrastructure for biobanking, and the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER). It will take place from 8th to 10th March 2021. It will be a virtual conference with a max capacity of 10,000 participants.
The theme of this year’s three-day conference is “Biobanking for precision care. Lessons learned from a global crisis – National and international responses and lessons learned from global crises”. It will feature an international group of experts on Biobanking, genomics, and personalized medicine from around the world, with a focus on precision medicine care and the lessons learned from global crises such as the global Pandemic (Covid-19).
