Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently design and build complex scientific data and statistical analysis capturing systems, software, and reporting infrastructure that will maintain reporting standards for all specimen data captured at the ANCHOR biorepository.
- Collaborate with team members to extract, analyze, and use captured tissue collection and biobanking data in ongoing research and proposal writing to support documents for grant and contract proposals.
- Provide technical and scientific expertise to researchers, staff, and students in the inventory management, workflow, and data use/analysis of the ANCHOR biorepository.
- Collaborate with scientists to identify the appropriate data collection processes and procedures using computer unique networks and dashboard systems to maintain specimen inventory of the highest quality samples.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating procedures to track specimen history and locations.
- Report on and prevent variables and issues that could negatively impact specimen quality. Modify processes and capturing systems to counteract and correct adverse effects.
- Develop and adapt procedures and techniques to fit specific experiment requirements.
- Operate, calibrate, and conduct performance checks on integrated laboratory databases.
