University of Cyprus adopts OpenSpecimen as its Biobanking LIMS

The University of Cyprus (UCY) adopts OpenSpecimen as its Biobanking LIMS. The Molecular Medicine Research Center (MMRC), now known as CY-Biobank is the first research center of UCY. It aims at developing front-line research on human genetic diseases and genomics, and offer better prospects for diagnosis, prevention, and therapy, in the framework of precision medicine.

The MMRC biobank will be using OpenSpecimen to –

  1. Manage biospecimens from multiple studies
  2. Collect clinical and pathology data
  3. Manage specimen request and distribution
